Annual Event – The Nellie Gray Mass

This  information pertains to the 2017 Nellie Gray Mass that took place after the March for Life on Friday, January 27, 2017.

The Paulus Institute for the Propagation of Sacred Liturgy, Washington, DC, is pleased to announce that the 2017 Nellie Gray Mass will take place after the March for Life, Friday, January 27, 2017.

The Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. in the Extraordinary Form (traditional Latin Mass) at St. Mary Mother of God Church at 5th and H Sts. NW in downtown Washington DC, where Nellie attended Mass.

Pontifical Solemn High Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception honoring His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on the fifth anniversary of his papacy.

A Solemn Mass will be celebrated by The Reverend Paul D. Scalia, Diocese of Arlington (Virginia).

Assisting ministers will be Rev. Luke Melcher, Diocese of Alexandria (Louisiana) (deacon), and Rev. Ernest Cibelli, St. Mary Catholic Church, Hagerstown, Maryland, Archdiocese of Baltimore (subdeacon).

The Mass will be the Missa Ex ore infantium for the feast day of The Holy Innocents.

We are pleased to have the Vox in Rama Choir from the Church of the Holy Innocents in New York City.
